This past weekend we had Ashley's bachelorette party in Atlantic City. About half of us met at Ashley's house Friday morning, so we could get down early and take advantage of some beach time! The rest of the girls came down after work Friday. This whole time our friend Kari, who has been living in Hawaii, but moved to Houston last week, planned on coming in to surprise Ashley. We were nervous Ashley would somehow find out on accident by someone slipping , facebook, etc. But she 100% had no idea! The weekend turned out perfect, and everyone had fun!
When we got to Ashley's house I walked in first and she asked if I needed help getting stuff out of the car and I said yes.. when we went outside Kari jumped out of the bushes and asked if she could join us!
Both girls started tearing up! They had even talked on the phone the night before and Ashley said this weekend was her bachlorette party, and Kari said she had no idea! It was funny b/c Ashley said she felt kinda hurt that Kari didn't know. The whole surprise ended up turning out wonderful!
When we got to the beach it was a little overcast - but the sun did shine later!
After an afternoon in the sun, we went to the Beach Bar, which was right next to where we were sitting. It was voted one of the 21 Sexiest Beach Bars by the Travel Channel - this made us crack up and we of course had to take a picture!
It was sooo hot out (probably abt 95 and humid like most days this summer) - so we tried to hide under the little shade that was there. The frozen drinks hit the spot!
The bride to be and I sporting our matching coverups from Target (gotta love Target!!)
Lura, Erin, and Kim relaxing at the Beach Bar
The bridesmaids left a little early to go back and set up/decorate the house before Ashley came back. We made cups for each girl filled w/candy (our fave) and a flip flop wine coozie!
For Friday night, we decided it would be fun to stay in and drink, chat, and play games. We kicked it off w/a crowd favorite -- wine & cheese.
Mmm! Love Kari's face!

Erin & Ashley sporting their lei's and sipping on wine

For some reason we thought this was really funny -- we kept throwing the torn apart lei in the air trying to get an action shot & also capture the "suprised" look. I had tried to take a picture of Erin & Ashley doing this, but couldn't successfully do it! Of course Ashley got this one of Erin & I on the first try!

Erin had asked Thompson (Ashley's fiance) a bunch of questions.. Ashley had to try and guess what he said. Everytime she got it right, she got a present; if she got it wrong, she had to drink!
Girls secretly hoping she gets the answer wrong so she has to drink!
Sara and I - glad my forehead isn't greasy ;)
Now fast foward to Saturday night - we decided to go out to the Pool Bar at Harrahs. It is really cool - they play regular ("pop"-like) music and there's a lot of space, they have a huge pool in the middle (which you could go in), a dance floor, and cabanas/different bars.
Ashley, bride to be, looking gorgeous and ready to go!
Kari-- how I have missed her!

Bachelorette and I !

College roomies!
BLOOM GIRLS!!
We used the self timer on my camera to get a whole group shot - thought it came out pretty well! Here is all 16 of us :)

Ashley and her bridesmaids before heading out. Top Row (from left): Michelle (her sister), me, Ashley, Erin (Bloom friend), Ashleigh (home friend). Front row (from left): Lura (bff from home) and Laura (Bloom friend). Thought some you may enjoy the connection ;)

Silly bridesmaid pic

Erin & I - we took about 200 pictures together over the course of the weekend!
Pop that champagne, girl!

Def dancing to "California Girls" - this was our jam for the weekend!
One of the girls packed all the essentials for the bar: money, starbursts, & pretzels!
Van ride to Harrahs!
The whole group at the Pool Bar... too bad I'm the only one w/my eyes closed!
Ashley cooling off in one of the little pools - you can see the cabanas in the back. We did not rent a cabana because they were $2,000!!

I think I was stalking the Bride to Be -- having some bathroom fun!
Trying to get a shot of the inside of the place..
We lasted at the bar until around 3:30 AM... we took a limo home because it could fit most of us in it and the guy gave us a good deal! And here we are home sweet home around 4AM, shoving our faces w/anything we could find (buffalo chicken dip, lunch meat, pretzels, chips, starbursts, ziti, etc.)
I am sure I stayed within my WW points that night! ;)
Sadly, the weekend came to an end. Here is the aftermath Sunday morning!
OMG! Kristin! I totally have that Target cover-up too!!!! Mine is burgundy!! LOL
