Tina's Phinal Phling

Last Saturday we had Tina's bachlorette party (her "Phinal Phling" -- get the Ph??) Since Tina loves the Phillies (like we all do) we decided to incorporate a Phillies game into the plans. We booked 2 rooms at the Holiday Inn right next to the stadium. The rooms were actually pretty nice and we could park in the lot for free. The even better deal was you could use their bathrooms while tailgating (opposed to the port-a-potties)! We got to the stadium around 1 for some tailgating -- grilling, drinking, games - it was a lot of fun! We had until 4pm then we were off to the game...

Tina, the bachlorette, opening her goodie bag of gifts. Her aunt attached a veil onto a Phillies hat - it was cute! We got tank tops made by Marissa - they came out awesome!

Sheilagh & I sporting our "Tina's Phinal Phling" tank top -- they were quite the hit!

Tina and the bachlorette party crew-- I'll list in case you are trying to figure out: Danielle, Sheilagh, Laura (tapsy), Tara, Tina, Ann, Kristin, Alex (tina's cousin), and Lizzy! You can even see our new friends in the back!

Lizzy beat us all to the parking lot and pulled in next to 2 car loads of guys -- smart thinking! The guys were a little older than us but were awesome and actually nice! We had a scavenger hunt for Tina and they helped us check off a lot of items. Tina didn't really wanna participate, but they were good at forcing her! Here is a picture of her with "muscle men".

Tina practicing walking down the aisle..

Tina with our new friends for the day. Please note the man in the navy tanktop. This is a homeless man that joined in on the fun. We could not manage to get rid of him-- even the boys were really trying and he just kept wandering back. He was singing to us and trying to act like a 20 yr old. He told us how he wanted to go buy a crack block after the game despite his drug test coming up in a few days! He at least scored a broken chair aka a new bed or sofa!

463: Bloomsburg Jr & Sr Roomies: Tina, Liz, & Danielle

Good view of Citizen's Bank Park - Sheilagh, Laura, and I. It was about 95 degrees and humid this day!

Megan, Joe's sister (in front center), was at the game. We wanted to go harass her and of course get a picture!

After the game, we went back to the hotel and had sandwiches and rehyrdated. Then it was shower time & some pregaming. The night started off with a champagne toast. The plan from there was to get a cab into Mad River, which is a bar in Old City (Philly). Once we got there we had open bar from 10pm-12am.

Bloomsburg sophie year roomies -- we lived in the quad together!

Tara, Tina, Sheilagh, & I -- we all went to high school together and called ourselves the "Senior Tools" (we are missing a few "tools" though to make this pic complete)

Group pic outside the Holiday Inn! I was a little annoyed because I asked a girl our age to take a picture -- I figured she would know how to operate a camera/get a clear pic, but apparently not!

Mad River, the bar we went to, knew we were a bachlorette party - they reserved a table for us and gave Tina a bottle of bubbly!

The bachlorette & her girls - such a fun night!

Although none of us really drink liquor too much these days, we took advantage since it was open bar. It brought back good mems of the $1 Cranberry Vodkas and $1 Rum & Cokes in college!

Tara & I are prob tearing up the dance floor!

BIDDDDDDDDDDDDDIES (that is what the homeless man kept shouting at us)

Dan & X-tina catching up

Spending Q.T. w/the bride to be.
I think we all had a wonderful day/night - Cheers to Tina & Tim!

  1. Hi, I came across your blog and think this might be the coolest idea ever. As an event planner, this is amazing. With that being said, how did you get the phillies font? I would like to do something similiar(not the same exact thing) and hope you would consider it flattering and not stealing. I have been looking for phillies fonts everywhere with no luck. I can be reached at broctune77@aol.com if you have any suggestions, thanks!
